Oh my goodness! I can't believe its spring already 🌷I get super excited for the 1st of each month it feels like getting into my blocks at the start line in a track meet lol😂 life is never a race in my opinion but this perspective gets me motivated, ready and in the zone to tackle this month.
Did you know if you have an impulse to act on a goal, you must physically move within 5 seconds or your brain will kill the idea? Ah I can’t count how many times I’ve done this
I’m reading about the brain, acts of courage and why the “right time” will never come, and realizing sometimes you just have to start even when you don’t want to. 😑
This rule I’m implementing into my life is called the 5 second rule. It’s by@melrobbinslive (she’s a badass) this 5 second rule may sound silly to some initially. I’ll admit it did to me at first! But it’s teaching me how to build courage like compound interest.🙋
Truth is, with each small act of courage, more courage follows..it compounds👍
Here are two universal facts: One, we all want to change our lives one way or the other and two, we spend most of our time waiting for that change to occur. Excuses like “I’m waiting for the right time” or “tomorrow”
Here’s the thing: 1. Change is ALWAYS new. 2. It always comes with uncertainly 3. It’s always scary
Whether you want to eat better, workout more or eliminate bad habits.. just remember it will will require some courage. But by using a 5 second technique called physiological intervention (I know it sound intense but it’s actually really amazing) I’ve been able to break some habits, take action and have more courage.
